I think those teams are talking about their big ooc games.

But their fans are talking about conference just as much as we are.

I don't think teams like playing us. Steve has the kids give a 100% effort and play in your face defense. That's never fun to play against. Playing a run and gun team, that doesn't play defense, is certainly more "fun".

There is no doubt Steve emphasizes defense. His teams always play hard, and he seems to do more with less talent than a lot of coaches. I'm surprised he hasn't had some offers to move up. He runs a clean program, recruits and graduates quality kids, wins a respectable number of games, and is a very good person. I'd say he's cut out of the same mold as the coach at Wisconsin, who coaches hard nosed defense and stresses making good decisions on the offensive end. Is he perfect? Heck no. Who is. I'm sure even Coach K does some things some folks don't agree with. I believe Steve would do well at a major university where they had a solid fan base and the money to do what you need to do to have a top program.

Are you really surprised about that? Can you really compare Steve to Mike Krzyzewski? Are sure you aren't Shields' agent posting as Doc?

All I was saying that every coach does things fans don't agree with. No. When Steve wins a national championship, I'll compare him to Coach K.
