First thing I heard in my morning staff meeting was "Nichols State, really?!"

It's all I'm going to hear on campus today too.

We're going to be hearing it for years unless we do something special very soon. Strap in, because this train-wreck just started.04-drinky

They did their research, I was feeling pretty empowered after MSU.

I suppose that's one advantage of Detroit media splashing every page with scUM/ND coverage this past weekend and pretending the state's MAC teams don't exist: If a heavily-favored FBS squad in Kalamazoo loses to a scrub FCS team and no one in the Detroit area hears about it, did it really exist?

Yeah nobody i work with knew about it until they asked me about the game. Nothing too bad. I think it's mostly michigan fans that remember losing to App St (although the teams are completely different ends of the FCS Spectrum)

Fixed.

But seriously, good luck against NW and Iowa. I'm hoping you can pull out one, if not both of those games.

Yes, but realistically, where michigan and wmu are as football programs in terms of prestige and where they have traditionally ranked among division 1 football teams...wmu losing to nicholls state might equal michigan losing to app state.
And michigan recovered. Lets hope the same for fleck's program. Each program hit rock bottom with these losses. Unfortunately for wmu, the climb to "boise state" level just got a lot higher than thought!

Well, they routinely put coverage of MAC teams on the same page and column with the likes of the MIAA. This week it was not a bad thing for us.
