Fran has played a very vanilla game against Prairie View not showing Texas Tech much of anything. I think Fran is trying to sneak up on Texas Tech in two weeks. He has scheduled an off week right before our game with them. I think he is going after the win in Lubbock. We will be on TV for this game. That would be a shocker to go into Lubbock and win.
I am REALLY hoping that Fran felt he had the USM game won, except for that last drive, which he had to open up the playbook. Hence the vanilla play calling at USM.
I am REALLY hoping that Fran knew we had PV beat when we stepped on the field, so we kept it vanilla.
I am REALLY hoping that Fran opens up the playbook and lets the QB's (even if it's Moore) air it out some to keep defenses honest.
Of course, I am also REALLY hoping Kate Upton asks me to marry her.

It bothered you that Houston Super Fan told you that I had called the win against USM. I have the feeling our game with Texas Tech could be a close one if we do not self destruct. Turnovers is going to be the key to that game. Texas Tech is not as good as you think.

It didn't bother me one bit. I thought his rationale was silly, but that's about it.
Nothing said on the internet bothers me. It's the internet for Pete's sake.
Having said that, I'm glad you have that feeling. I HONESTLY hope you're right.
But I don't have any illusions about Tech this year. They are a slightly below average BCS team. I also don't have any illusions about our team though. We are a young team with lots of the most dreaded word in football: Potential.

I still think Fran will play it safe against Tech assuming its a loss and hope to sneak a win. Then open it up for Wyomong since that one is more winnable on paper.

RE: gonna be hella conference season...
IF we're gonna have a shot in either game (Tech/Wyoming), then we better pray that neither contest turns into a track meet . ... If it's a track meet, then Franny's EXCITING, DYNAMIC OFFENSE (hope you noted the sarcasm) will ensure that we're in for a LOOOOONG DAY! (Unless Fran's just been playing Coy the past 2 weeks, and now plans to open 'er up . .. . . naaaaah)
Our D is much improved from a year ago, and so far I've enjoyed watching 'em, but that offense . . . is a painful sight to behold. People can say what they will about this being a "down year" for Tech . . but it's still Tech . . . and looking at Wyoming the past 2 weeks . . . they been hangin' a lot of points on the folks they've been playin' . . . Hope I'm wrong, but as an Offensive Guru . .. Fran does NOT inspire . . .

RE: gonna be hella conference season...
My money is on Yendrey not seeing the field until conference. If he was ready to go I would think he'd have gotten some reps vs PV or will against Wyoming but I believe they're just not letting out the seriousness of his injury. (still in boot)
That happened at least a month, maybe 6 weeks, ago already and from what I saw Saturday, he's not close to PT. Will 2 more weeks do it (vs Tech?) or 3?
No clue.

The way I see it, Yendrey is not the difference between a W & a L in Lubbock. Given that, no need to rush him back.
Wyoming? I could see him making a difference if he's 100%. If he's not, then still don't rush him.
I could see him being a difference in conference easily, so if he's close to 100% by conference time, he plays.
