Statistical comparison
Through 3 games EMU's defense currently has more sacks (10) than any other MAC team. In fact, last year we ranked last in the conference with 7 sacks for the entire season.

On the flipside our Offensive Line has given up the most sacks (11) of any team in the conference. Last year we ranked 7th out of 13 teams by allowing 22 sacks for the entire season. 07-coffee3

RE: Statistical comparison
Thanks curious about the injury status for the offensive line? ie is McFadden hurt and if so for how long?

Is the true frosh Brown an option at this point for playing time?

We heard good things about him on the little preseason.

Its interesting to note that Canty appears to be playing abit more these days.

We're playing a cupcake schedule. 03-lmfao x 4.

One B1G team and one B1G wannabe...

I just hope we aren't doing it with smoke and mirrors and someone will come along and exploit our defensive schemes...

I believe Canty is the nickel (or dime????) man on defense. Definitely getting PT while Gillespie is ailing.

I, too, wonder how long before Terrell or Brown get PT at a OG spot? The times I've watched McCord he seems to have a LOT of problems in space. The times he had his choice of putting a 'helmet' (bad, bad expression. 05-nono) on either of two defenders and missed both.

On offense, I really would like to see if we can develop a runner into the Reggie Bush mode.

Bush is so versatile that it is unbelievable.

Lions when they had Jahvid Best and now Reggie Bush are a dynamic offense. When Best went down (and Bush yesterday in the 2nd half) the offense stagnates.

I wonder if Brumfield can be that man to get 75 yards running and 75 catching?

I must say that I am sooo surpised that Brumfield is not getting more time on the field. This is something that Parrish needs to look into...

I agree.

I'd put him into a slot position or similar.

Brumfield can run, catch and throw. I can see some 'pitch (to Brumfield) and he throws..."

That to me is more than some of our receivers can do.
