RE: EMU VS Penn State Game Day Comments
Judging EMU on yesterday is a pointless endeavor. Penn State is a middling Big Ten team, but even after factoring that in PSU still has superior athletes across the board from EMU, a bottom tier MAC school. A blowout was a near certainty.

A good MAC team would have struggled to beat PSU yesterday. An EMU team with little talent at WR, a mediocre offensive line, and a defense that lack talent at every level had no shot. It did not matter what plays the coaches called because EMU lacks the players to properly execute them.

This is where scheme comes in. A spread team or even an option team can compensate for a lack of talent by challenging bigger teams by placing their athletes into positions to have make plays in space or in the case of the option to defend a system they are not used to seeing. Navy has given many a team fits over the years because of this.

But, that won't happen here until our next coach arrives, so let's stop talking about it.

and you don't think the other team can figure this out by the second quarter?

Yeah, you're right. The spread offense is easy to figure out. Clearly it doesn't work. 01-wingedeagle

Get with it Katman.

It clearly doesn't work if you don't have the players it needs to work.03-lmfao

I know that this is late but I just listen to English talk show about how the team played against Penn State and he was very truthful about how the guys are playing and who is not playing..

He made some comments about the upcoming game against Rugters and he sounded like a guys who believed he would win the game..
