We have Georgia and Georgia Tech, but I see Tech's fanbase similar to our own... the casual fan doesn't really root for Tech unless they have a connection to the school. Either they are an alum, or their dad went there, or their brother, etc. Very similar to Southern (and I'm assuming most other SBC schools). All our in state casual fans are UGA T-shirt alum. And MAN are they obnoxious!! There is a big difference between the guy that went to undergrad, or law school at UGA and the guy drinking natty light and barking like a dog at a bar.

In Texas its lots of tshirt Texas fans. A&M fans have a large presence but most went there or have family that did. They are obnoxious but in a different special kind of way. Then in Houston theres an LSU crowd. Many are grads but the tshirt base is here as well. Post Katrina it got much much worse. LSU and Saint fans are in a league of their own annoying.

I visited your campus last year. When classes changed I saw 1 A&M shirt and 1 Baylor shirt and that was it. Very low percentage.

When I started in 2003, there were more shirts for other schools. In 2005 or 2006 they had a campaign where if you took another schools shirt to a booth they would exchange it for a Texas St one for free. Since then there haven't been as many other school shirts. I think the name change in 2003 also helped along with the 2005 playoff run and push to FBS. Pride has gone up but now we need to get more students to games and coming back after graduating.

I'm all for the idea as long as we burn the shirts as part of the event.

even better! only thing that might alienate a lot of people would be that we are burning hog gear. and that would become the focal point. but the shirts could be donated to some place in africa like they do with the losing Super Bowl team shirts every year.

I have to admit, I give Jeff Long credit. In the past year his mouth has united Red Wolves fans against the Razorbacks more than I have ever seen before. What an idiot. Time to go roast him on Twitter again.

That guy is such a douche

Things are going poorly for the Hogs right now. They want to move out of Little Rock but they will create a lot of ire if they do it, but the truth is they struggle to fill War Memorial. They still haven't sold out this week's game with Samford.

The press is irked that all their little fan boy jock sniffer "reporters" are basically denied access to anything other than the weekly press-conference and the post-game press conference. Most of the access they had is now reserved for IMG who sells it on the web.

The guy who wrote Long's speech that got such high regard on the Petrino dismissal has been fired because he was raising questions about the management of funds and apparently has said that the school has not only not fully complied with document releases under FOI but has lied directly to the press on some matters.

So its time to wag the dog and rally the troops with a rousing One State One Team speech.

He'd probably think it was a logo of the University of Arkansas.

I agree, burn them, and notify the state media so that they'll talk about it.

we get that in Ohio all the time too. Ohio State actually sued Ohio University when Ohio tried to trademark their own name. Ohio State's argument was the same as this nonsense from the Arkansas AD- OSU represents all of the state of Ohio, not just the OSU students and alums, so they should own the naming rights of Ohio, even over the school that is actually named Ohio and was founded 66 years before their school.

Ever noticed how Ohio State's stadium is named Ohio Stadium, their band is known for performing "script Ohio", their most popular cheer is "OH!"-"IO!", etc.? And yet they pretend to get angry when Brady Hoke calls them Ohio.

Here's a picture of Jesse Owens when he was on the track team at Ohio State. That's Ohio STATE. Nice uniform. Ohio State commonly had just "Ohio", no "State" on various uniforms up until they lost the lawsuit in the 1990s. The balls it takes for these "big time" schools to think that they represent the entire state is just unbelievable.

But...but...but...they have the new Fred Smith Center and have lockers bigger than NFL lockers and have new head hog Bielema who has a perfect record and will win a SEC championship and...and things couldn't be better

Pompous ass.

And the worst thing about it is he probably actually believes it. These people tell themselves how could anyone like any other school than (insert SEC, ACC, B1G, etc. school here).

But take heart ASU fans, because attempting to publicly marginalize is a clear sign that Arkansas is feeling threatened by your ascension.

MSU played W Michigan Michigan played CMU nothing to gain for the big boys. Except helping a
State school out . I believe I read that MSU was suppose to play at some of the Michigan MAC schools or at Ford Field.

The initial rumors were that we would do something like that, but too many people threw a fit.

Being this close to Austin, we had people call it insensitive to destroy the clothing when there are economically depressed individuals who could use it.

Instead, I believe they are donated to homeless shelters
