Agree. I imagine by halftime that win will be long forgotten. That was not only a mediocre SEC team but we also had a few SEC caliber players on our side too. Not taking shots at our current team (don't have a cow) but we use to be able to compete for much longer against the bigger schools. Remember when Blakeney said after we beat them down there with Hackney and co. that he wasn't sure if Troy would ever beat UAB again. The next year we were ranked 23rd in the country at one point. That's whats really frustrating about our situation today. And no im not saying Watson Brown was a good coach.

Some schools still sing about pre-World War II bowl games.

and "a 13 year old win over a mediocre SEC team"? I have a data set of 1.

My bad.

Forever more, I'll remember LSU as my first Blazer road trip ever (what a great time it was).
either way, i'll be firmly planted into the couch, watching the Blazers for 4 quarters...win, lose or draw

I'll always remember the well-dressed LSU fan sitting behind me with a sleepy toddler in his lap. I'll remember how he cussed me up and down when I doffed my hat to the LSU fans and said "THANK YOU" after Booty threw it straight to Chris Brown. Then he kept cussing me and UAB as Gallego put the ball threw the uprights. Pretty much representative of the reception we got down there that night, before and after the game.

Tiger bait indeed. GREAT times.
my experiences before and after were pretty much exactly the opposite

When we walked out of the LSU pit with the win I didnt hardly hear a peep out of their fans.... They were totally numb. I liken their numbness to how I felt when SMU drove down the field in a matter of seconds and had that prayer caught in the endzone to rip out our heart in Legion Field a few years back.

That said, I'll have my ass right in front of the tv or computer this week, right at kick off, again., cheering on this team. Just like it was the first game or the last.

We all have the right to feel pissed off about last week and voice it. We also have a responsibility to put it behind us at some point and focus on this weeks game.

No matter how it turns our. I'll be watching the blazers from the stands or a devil box again the following week and the week after that.

When they lose games they shoulda won, I'm gonna *****. Thats all.
Yessir. Get it out, get it over, then cheer on your Blazers the next week!!!

RE: LSU Game
I rather suspect that the life of the LSU victory story was extended by the Bama hiring of that (now former) LSU coach resulting in the system BOT blocking our hire of Jimbo Fisher in order to hold him for their new coach to hire as OC again. That and the fact that LSU went on from there to win the SEC Championship and the BCS NC game within the next couple of seasons.

I only hope we can do the same for Les Miles this year.
