Sad sign of the times.....
Since many of us have been lamenting about the fall of eastern football over the past few days....I'll relate a small story that found its way into one of our papers here in Northern WV.....A reporter asked RichRod if he was suprised to have Penn St come down to Morgantown to work with the WVU coaches on the spread offense...RichRod who remembers the Penn St series when he was a player said something to the effect that this would never have occured "in his day"...but since the rivalry between the schools has disappated, it really shouldn't be all that suprising...sad but true

Penn st came down to see the spread offense? Don't they recruit some of the same players? I don't get this.

That's funny since PSUs QB this year is a classic drop back passer with limited mobility. Micheal Robinson couldhave run WVUs spread offense. Maybe they're looking toward the future since JoPa seems to have a reflexive aversion to throwing the ball.

JoePa has a QB who would fit the spread offense perfectly. Also, he needs new ideas to keep his momentum from last year. Plain old just doesn't cut it any longer.
