Deters was on 700 WLW, The Big One, the Nation Station and said the the Hamilton County Prosecutor personally told Godfather Graham that Wells' expulsion would come back to haunt X and that there was insufficient evidence to do anything.
You may want to ask Dez if he intends to fire Graham after he owns X.
Lastly, please enjoy playing your future games in the Dez Wells Center after he kicks Cintas to the curb as well.
I wish you all nothing but the best in the ACC next year!
I hope Mack gets a 10 year extension and is at Xavier for a long time.
Me too! He's got more NCAA wins than Cronin. More first rounders too.
What do kids want out of CBBall? Play in March Madness and get a guaranteed contract in the NBA.
But seriously, you have to be a bit concerned. You have had more decommits than commits the last couple years and the guys Mack has signed, with the exception of Christon, are all role players.
You are going to have to play some big boy teams now in conference. Do you really think you can continue to get by with a roster cobbled together with transfers and walk ons? Remember, you can't take academic non-qualifier guys like Mark Lyons and Jalen Reynolds anymore. And the last few years you have had A LOT of guys like that on your roster.
What happens when Chris Mack can't take the guys big programs wanted but couldn't take due to academic issues?
As far as I can tell, your highest rated recruit ever is Semaj Christon. Georgetown gets at least one and often multiple guys as highly rated pretty much every year. I don't put a ton of stock in player ratings, but it does beg the question: Can you compete with Georgetown, Marquette and Villanova with Dee Davis, Jalen Reynolds, Kamall Richards, Brandon Randolph and Edmond Sumner?
The big east is no longer a 7- plus bid conference. With the exception of Georgetown and perhaps the newly minted Marquette the perennial top 25, shoe-in NCAA teams are gone. You are going to have to finish in the top 4 (maybe even top 3!) to be secure in an NCAA bid.
Gone are the days when you can loaf through your dismal conference schedule and emerge as a bubble team with the comfort of still being able to get your bid by winning your equally dismal conference tournament.
Just my .02 but without markedly better recruiting, quickly, you guys are heading for a long stretch of .500-.600 winning percentage basketball.
