Sorry, hawg, it is a Survivor League, so you are out. Stay tuned, though. If we are all eliminated well before the season is over, we may start it over again.

If Mississippi State had a quarterback who could throw an accurate ball so that Okie State couldn't crowd the line the outcome would have been much different. I can't remember a time in recent history where a deficiency in one position cost a team so dearly in one game, and it may be that that deficiency costs State a lot more before the season is over.

The new-look Auburn defense is not very good. I'm glad I used them up in week 1.

Defense? Where did you see it? I watched for 3 plus hours and never saw a defense.
And I saw an offense that had 4 running backs and nobody that could throw.

Note to Everyone: Bigblueblindness, I think we should let everyone continue to pick even when they are out. That way we can rank all of the picks at the end and if everyone gets busted we still have everyone in to continue. So let Hawghiggs and Gamecock continue to pick. After all we could all be out after next week. And by the way next week I'm picking the Florida Gators over the Hurricanes.

Looks like we only have two P5 games to choose from this week.

I take Florida over the Miami Hurricanes

Who's gonna go big and choose between Georgia and South Carolina...

Honest question: Will Kentucky win an SEC game this season? I think not - and I'm seriously considering taking them NOW over Miami (OH). There may not be a better opportunity to pick this unit all season.

I don't think you can.
Games must be between P5 schools. There are only two choices this weekend, if I am correct.

According to JR, I am still eligible. So I'll take the challenge, South Carolina over UGA

I think the Dawgs turn one loss into two. Give me SCAR over UGA.

vandiver, you cannot pick the same team twice in a season... that is part of the strategy. Since you picked SCAR last week, you have to take UGA or Florida.

I don't see it happening this year unless somebody implodes or loses a key player (like if Mizzou loses James Franklin or Vandy loses Matthews). Even then, we would have to play our best game. This is the year to get guys experienced.

And, yes, you cannot pick Miami-OH for this survivor league. I'll repost the rules since there seems to be some confusion.

RE: SEC Survivor League - FB 2013
Survivor League rules recap:

- Must pick an SEC winner each week and cannot pick the same team twice in the season. So, since there are 14 weeks in the season, you will have to pick every school once.
- Your SEC winner pick must be facing another P5 (SEC, B1G, ACC, PAC, or Big 12) opponent, Louisville, Rutgers, or a G5 (Sun Belt, CUSA, AAC, MWC, MAC) opponent that is ranked in the top 25 of either poll during the week they play. No SEC teams play a football independent in the regular season this year, so no worries about them.
- We are allowing people to continue picking every week even if they lose a week. So, instead of elimination, the winner will simply be who has the most winning weeks at the end of the season. If there is a tie at the end of the season, we can use a bowl game to break it.
