KATC NOLA 2013 Sun Belt preview
http://www.katc.com/news/sun-belt-previe...in-2013/#_

Quote:Although the Sun Belt Conference is in flux right now, all four of the league's bowl teams from last season are back.

Two of them are co-favorites to win the league - according to a preseason coaches' poll - and happen to be in-state rivals: Louisiana-Lafayette and Louisiana-Monroe. The other two are two-time defending league champion Arkansas State and Western Kentucky, which became the landing spot for Bobby Petrino's coaching comeback after the former Arkansas coach spent a season away from football

This should be Petrino's only season in the Sun Belt because WKU jumps to Conference USA next season. He hopes to have the Hilltoppers on top of the league and in a second-straight bowl, but the former Louisville and Atlanta Falcons coach doesn't expect it to be easy, and noted how far the once-fledgling mid-major league has come in its 13 years.

"When you look back on the success that the Sun Belt had last year, it just speaks for itself," Petrino said. "You had four teams go to bowl games and some really major upsets. ... It's going to be very, very competitive."

Several commets slycat, First KATC is located in Lafayette and not New Orleans. They never refer to the Cajuns as Louisiana-Lafayette, always UL. Second, this is a AP Sun Belt article that was written by the Sun Belt from Media Day in New Orleans and was placed on the KATC web site. This article is nothing new. Not knocking, just letting you know.

Should have known since they used the coaches rankings.

Thanks for the heads up.

So KATC doesn't know how to edit or modify a story? KATC placed the article on their own website, nobody else placed it there. They could have made name changes if they wanted to (wire stories are edited all the time). There, just a bit of conversation.

And so it begins....name gaming...baiting...banning followed by a 6th straight loss. The Sun Belt board will be brutal this season.

SOT1977, not that I give a damn about your comments, but I was only pointing out to him that it is an AP story (Clearly noted) written from the Sun Belt Football Media Day. Now why would KATC edit an AP story tard?

BTW, only you morons would believe FUNROE is a term of endearment. Cajun fans have called Monroe, Funroe and Monrovia for years. And of course ULM is affectionately referred to as JUCO, ChickenHawks or U of Grambling@Monroe. There, just a bit of conversation for you.

Hello Fan of UL's *****, thats manly talk coming from someone whose school gets barely a crumb from the North La. news media.

Do you enjoy getting slapped around? Think before you post.
