BALDWIN, Md. -- The Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award named Kolton Browning one of its 30 quarterbacks to earn a spot on the preseason watch list today.

Browning enters his final season at the top of the charts with 60 career touchdown passes. In the home finale against North Texas, the Mabank, Texas, native connected with Je’Ron Hamm for his school record 56th career touchdown pass. Browning added four more before the season came to close as he distanced himself from Steven Jyles, who tallied 55 career touchdown passes from 2002-05.

Browning is also on the cusp of breaking three other career records. He will look to chase down Steven Jyles as Browning trails only Jyles in career passing yards (904 yards needed for record), career passing attempts (249 needed for record) and career pass completions (45 completions needed for record).

Browning is just one of two Sun Belt Conference quarterbacks to earn a spot on the watch list as Troy’s Corey Robinson was also named to the watch list.[/i]
