Tressel let it be known that Justin Zwick would start at Quarterback against the Cincy Bearcats. But he also said that he expects Troy Smith will see some playing time. Congrats to Zwick and Go Buckeyes!

Drew Stanton is the MSU starter, while we are talking about being named starter

Stanton getting time in at QB, while we blow out in Indiana last season :D

"With just six days until the Spartans kick off their season opener at Rutgers, MSU QB Drew Stanton has improved his health and may indeed get the starting nod. Certainly, John L has made no secret of his #1 choice in Stanton, holding off on making a decision as long as possible by giving Stanton every opportunity to get healthy in time. In his last two practices, Stanton's limp vanished and "it's getting better," said Smith. We'll slot Stanton as the starter, with Dowdell #2 and Reaves #3." - The ES's Article

As of Sunday morning (8/29/04), Coach Carr has not yet said who will start at quarterback for Michigan against Miami (Ohio) on September 4, 2004.

Matt Guiterrez, Chad Henne, and Clayton Richard are all still in the hunt for the top spot. This morning Coach Carr said that he hopes to announce the starting quarterback tomorrow but did not want to be held to that.

It remains possibl that Michigan may utilize the two quarterback package, as they did with Tom Brady and Drew Henson.

Also, after Miami (Ohio) 49-0 victory over Indiana State yesterday, the odds were finally posted on the Michigan v. Miami (Ohio) game.

Currently, odds are listed as:

Michigan by 14.5 points.
