Buying a car soon and was wondering if there are any local dealers we should avoid or definitely go to in Hampton Roads. Appreciate any and all feedback.

Thanks for the heads up. It's stories like this that led me post this thread. The amount of questionable business practices used in the retail auto industry and seen as the "norm" could make anyone think they've lost their mind when dealing with them.

They are all scum... just a necessary evil. If you know how to inspect, private party is the way to go.

I would stay away from Checkered Flag Audi as well.

+1 atleast you can avoid whatever the dealership puts on the top of it.

I have a colleague here in cleveland who i barely know but he is from portsmouth and he used to work for army, he bought his audi from them and he said he got a good deal from them. I have no idea why he chose them. I have no idea how good/bad they actually they are. Just hear say.

My family and I have purchased three vehicles from Cavalier Ford in Chesapeake. I bought my first one in May 2012. I had no issues and got a good deal. If you want, I'll see if I can find the salesman's card that I dealt with.
