Like the uniforms. The helmets are okay, not crazy about them. I do like the brown matte look though.

However, not enough brown and gold...you know, our school colors?

Uniforms look plain, not a fan of the number font but they are okay and seem to follow the Miami trend. I guess "plain" is the new "hot."

Helmets are okay but Boise did that Bronco head first and the "ROW" in the front is asinine, but other than that the helmets grade out better than the uniforms.

I must be out of the loop lately, because I thought the whole artsy Oregon/Maryland razzle-dazzle design was the hot trend, unless "plain" is the counterreaction to this, which would make it a trend in itself, I suppose.

I'm not 100% gung-ho on the Bronco unis, but I actually prefer the decision toward the 'plain.'

When I went to Western we had brown and gold (yellow) uniforms and I hated them. They looked to much like the inside of a CMU grad's tighty whities. 03-wink

I liked/like the brown. But the yellow was a little too... "bright" for my tastes though. Give me a uniform of dark brown with a more subtle Old Gold, and I'll take it. 03-cloud9

That's what I'm guessing. It looks like there is a deliberate move for "plain" or "pseudo-retro" or "pseudo-traditional" but that's just my take.

Row the boat? Where is the connection there? Need a Bronco slappy to help with that. I am not a fan of the retro number on the helmets

I like them a lot. I think they look much better than what we had last year.

Look it up. Fleck has made videos about it and spoken extensively about RTB.

I love the new Western Michigan font across the jerseys.

Fresh and unique.

Looks like Wyoming / penn state / msu throwbacks. Not terrible but these videos are so dumb. A picture says a thousand words... And really row the boat? Kalamazoo? Broncos? WMU? Head scratcher..

Doesn't a rowboat usually only have two oars, and those are generally operated by one person.... Doesn't make any sense to me either.

I could see Row the Galley:

Quote: A row galley was a term used by the early United States Navy for an armed watercraft that used oars rather than sail as a means of propulsion . During the "age of sail" row galleys had the advantage of propulsion while ships of sail might be stopped or running at slow speed because of lack of wind for their sails.

Even row galleys were sometimes fitted with sails.

During the American Revolution, row galleys, such as the USS Spitfire and the Washington, with crews of up to 60 oarsmen, were employed successfully in battle against larger warships.

During the American Civil War, Union Navy and Confederate Navy ships operating in rivers and other interior waterways, would send row galleys to surprise and capture enemy ships anchored for the night.
