Sorry that I started this thread and then went MIA, but this is exactly the kind of conversation that I was hoping to have play out. And the guy who I was referring to was not mentioned on this thread. I'm hopefully about to start a new job, and when I do, I'll be able to speak more freely. He is the type of relatively young (40's), rich, powerful, and charismatic alumnus who JMU should be bringing back on a first class jet to speak with students every year.

I visited one of my friends this weekend that attended UVA. We went out one night with some of his friends that also went to UVA. At one point they talked about how they are sent something in the mail every week asking them to donate and they often get emails from the Dean of the college they attended there.

I never hear anything from the Dean of the COB and only receive something in the mail asking me to donate once every year or so.

Ha, based on his graduation year, Chicago played at JMU while he was a student there. I wonder if he went.
