USA Today Previews stAte
We're ranked #55 nationally. 2nd amongst SBC programs with UL still yet to appear.

Probably the only write up on us so far this year that actually understands how we are arranging our roster for this season. Writer believes that ASU, UL, ULM, and WKU are the clear top 4 of the league (He ignored Troy, dangerous) and believes that WKU is the 4th best of the bunch, but that you can never count out Bobby Petrino.

That is the most thorough and knowledgeable preseason writeup on stAte that I have ever seen. A few minor mistakes but he understands what we have returning on defense and the strength of our OL and DL better than anyone I have read.

After reading the previews the last few years from him you knew it would be a very good job. I have been looking forward to what he had to say. It was a treat to wait so long.

They are both very good. Hard to argue against the group that produced last year's offensive numbers when all but one return.

I was very impressed. The fact that he knew Hogan was leading at QB in the spring (nobody else even mentions him really), he knew about Porter and Stone and he actually did analysis on OL position battles made it clear that he did more research than others by a LONG shot.

I was impressed with WKU's front 7 on defense last year but I've not looked to see what is back. Thought WKU and USA both had good o-lines though USA's could use some work on the snap count.
