TXST's Paul Goldschmidt
(mods, please leave this here until midnight EST.... thanks)

I don't know if you're a Red's fan, AZ fan or not but Goldschmidt (DBacks) is the epitome of class and is representing TXST with aplomb.
He is in 2nd place with 6 hrs to go in the All Star voting. Bobcat fans would sure appreciate your going to mlb.com and giving Paul a little last minute push. Kid deserves it.

Thanks.

He spent some time with the Mobile Baybears (Diamondbacks AA Affiliate). I shall vote for him.

He hit a homer against my Mets this week, by rule, I cannot support him in the All Star Game.

That's small minded. Ask Tim Lincecum if he gave up after Goldschmidt has owned him and singlehandedly destroyed his confidence.

Done. I waited one round too long and misssed him in my fantasy draft by one pick, he haunts me everyday. The guy is a beast!

Apparently you are not familiar with my baseball fandom

I have several simple rules

I will never vote a Yankee as an All Star
I will never vote a Brave as an All Star
I will never vote a Phillies as an All Star
I will never vote a Cardinal as an All Star
I will never vote for any documented Mets Killer as an All Star.

All Star ballots are pretty much rigged anyway

Screw Goldschmidt. Go Votto and the Cincinnati Reds!

RE: TXST's Paul Goldschmidt
I vote for the guys with the best stats to that point in the season, rather than being a homer. I don't care what team they're on if they deserve it. I'm a lifelong Phillies fan and I didn't put one of them on my ballet. Not even Dom Brown.

Old school believing it shouldn't be a popularity contest.

And BTW - Votto and Goldschmidt's stats even out so no need to be a jerk about it.

They're both going to go anyway.

And, I'd vote for any guy from another SBC school if his stats made him worthy; no matter the team.

Absolutely happy to cast my vote for him... I totally enjoyed the short time he put on a show for we BayBear fans here in Mobile. Best of luck!

The Mets overtake any SBC Nationalist rules that I have to follow. I have been a Mets fan since I was 4...they come first

For the record, I only voted for David Wright in the all star game this year...that is the only position that I remotely care about.

The Phillies are on a downturn and I don't feel any of them are worthy. Kind of used to that scenario. 03-banghead

I know how you feel. I laugh because the Mets entire All Star Campaign this year has been Vote David Wright. Not one mention of another player outside of our #1 starter. Its kind of sad when your own organization only plans for two All Stars.

It's a joke that Freddie Freeman is any lower than third.

Like Freeman. Fact is Votto, Goldschmidt, Craig have all outplayed him. Besides, chicks dig the long ball.

Thanks for those that helped out. He may not have won the fan vote but he is the first TXST Baseball player to ever make an All Star Game
so..............

Congrats Paul!
