Cheers guys
The Sun Belt is the only conference home I've ever known, it's been a great home as has this board. The "battle lines" may be drawn between our two conferences, but there are many here that I will always look at as my friends. I think it's really rather childish how some people are acting about this and why anyone acts surprised when those leaving think CUSA is a better conference and I'm equally shocked at those who are leaving that are so adamant about making their argument as to why CUSA is better. I think it's safe to say 95% of the people on this board are going to take up for the conference they'll call home in 2014 and there's little to nothing any of us could say that would change that.

To the majority of you I've had nothing but good times talking sports with for years, good luck moving forward, I'd be happy to share a conference with you again some day should it turn out that way.

To those of you I've had unpleasantness with for any reason over the years, I apologize and take my share of the blame. I think of myself as someone who always tries to make points with conviction and tries not to speak about what I don't know or don't understand, I'm sure to those I've ever rubbed the wrong way, if we ever met face to face we could have a beer and talk sports and laugh off any grudges.

To App and GaSo fans, congrats again on the move, good luck moving forward and just know any comments I made you may have taken as a slight were not a condemnation of your program in particular, but merely a product of my strong belief in trends. Best of luck and know I'm at least a little jealous that you get to be a part of this very exciting time for your program.

Well it's getting close to midnight here in EST, but I figure for the purposes of this message I should be on Murfreesboro time, so for the next hour and twenty minutes or so I'm drinking to you Sun Belt, cheers guys. 04-cheers

MTSU did well being well rounded it seemed with minor sports getting a lot of wins.
Expect those that were with you for years will miss that a lot.
Just don't ever lose in football to Marshall and continue to make SB people happy.

Good luck to a class organization and kick some coosa butts. Come back and visit the board from time to time. This is the only one of the departing schools that I hate to see go. MTSU now, and WKU next year will sorely be missed. The newcomers certainly have huge shoes to fill.

Yep.
I hate that MTSU and WKU are on their way out.
When we announced football, it was UL, Troy, MTSU, and WKU that immediately sprang to mind as places I wanted to go and see the games.

Good luck in CUSA.
Make us look good by winning it your first year.

I certainly have no ill will toward the teams leaving, although I hate that we aren't going to get a chance to be in the same conference with them....especially WKU and MT. Opportunities call and decisions are made. I understand your thing about "trends" and don't take it personally at all. Obviously, it could work out exactly how you say. There are just too many unknown variables to accurately predict. If we all agreed before the games were played, message boards would be a pretty boring place!

Best of luck in CUSA....until that day when our teams finally meet on the field.

Home and home deals with WKU and MTSU make a lot of sense. ADs make it happen.

I'd be surprised if by the end of the first decade you haven't gotten on at least one of our schedules. How much talk has there been of you guys setting up something long term(4 years or more) with Charlotte or ECU? I'd imagine Marshall and ODU would be attractive to you guys as well.

I'm sad we wont be able to extend our winning record against one of our old FCS rivals. Good luck in the C-USA.
