That's something that's thrown around quite a bit here and rarely turns out to be true. Seems every year there are a ton of Sun Belt signees who are supposedly 4.34 guys, almost always false. We had a quarterback from Folkston who ran for a ton of yards and outran a bunch of guys, I think his 40 time was like 4.56. I'm not saying your quarterback, who I watched a bit of against UGA(last year?) and appears to have great speed, is not a "legit 4.4 guy" but the only 40 times I take seriously are at the draft combine, seems in year's past there are more supposed 4.4 and lower guysbeing touted on this board on signing day than there are at the combine in any given year.

Well, McKinnon just ran a 4.38 at the combine. Looks like you were wrong on Ga Southern and our players again.

Such an inferiority complex with the Georgia southern bunch. Did you even read his whole post?

I guess you failed to read the rest of the thread where he laughed at the comparison made to Maurice Jones-Drew because Drew ran a 4.39. Well, look who's laughing now as McKinnon ran a 4.35.

Just happy he is gone. Great stats he is putting up. Monster player. 4.35 time is great.
Rest of the Sun Belt should be glad they never have to see him in person. Hope he can stay healthy in the NFL.
If so should have a good career.

Luckily for McKinnon he was also #1 in bench press - 32 reps, #2 in vertical at 40.5" and #2 in broad jump to go with finishing #2 in the 40. As far as pure numbers, he is better on paper than Tre Mason at Auburn. Yes, that is only on paper.

I cannot wait until the day that us and app start beating all you guys (not saying we will take the conference by storm). If we have a player run a good 40 what we get is 40s dont matter. If we beat yall in recruiting what we get is recruiting is unreliable. If we beat the two flagship state teams in baseball what we get is they were not that good anyways.

Your boy eagleskins has been saying it for years. Got to love all the rubes that couldn't walk the walk after popping off at the mouth.

I guess you failed to read the rest of the thread where he laughed at the comparison made to Maurice Jones-Drew because Drew ran a 4.39. Well, look who's laughing now as McKinnon ran a 4.35.

I didn't laugh at the idea of him being faster than MJD and you completely misunderstood why I even mentioned MJDs 4.39, it wasn't to say McKinnon couldn't top it, it was to show MJD was barely a 4.3 guy himself. I laughed at the comparison of your quarterback to a three time pro bowl running back withover 8,000 career rushing yards, 2,800 receiving yards, 68 rushing TDs and 11 receiving TDs, not at the idea of him possibly being faster.

McKinnon is a stud and now an on the record legit 4.3 guy, but let's slow down on the MJD comparisons just because he's short and stout and can run.

Look who's laughing now? If you're still comparing him to MJD, I'm still laughing.

All that and he is a lot stronger than MJD. Better at every single measurable.

Wasn't Dwight Dasher (MTSU) kind of short? I remember him being a pretty good quarterback.

He listed at 5'10 202 and ran like 4.5. He had one of the better seasons this league had seen in 2009, his junior season:

Finished the year ranked 7th nationally in total offense, 9th in points responsible for, 35th in passing yards, and 40th in rushing ... Became just the fourth player in NCAA history to throw for 2,500 yards and rush for more than 1,000 yards in a single-season ... Set a new school record in total offense with 3,943 yards while accounting for 36 touchdowns.

Earned New Orleans Bowl MVP honors after leading the Blue Raiders to their first FBS bowl win by throwing for 162 yards, rushing for 201 yards, and accounting for four touchdowns (2 rush, 2 pass) ... His 201 rushing yards went down as the most yards ever by a quarterback in NCAA bowl history.

His 201 rushing yards in NOLA topped Vince Young's mark he set in that famous Rose Bowl, Dasher's record was subsequently topped by Manziel in the Cotton Bowl.

Dasher was a hell of a talent, if he had half a brain we probably would have had a much better 2010, we lost to both Minnesota and Memphis by a touchdown while he was serving his suspension, he probably would have gone down as an all time great at MT and he might have played QB in the arena or CFL or maybe gotten a shot at another position in the NFL, but he doesn't have half a brain and his talent was ultimately largely wasted.
