Not that UofL is to the level of BC, Duke, or UNC this season, but there are some telling numbers about Clemson. They had what was basically the easiest ACC schedule of anyone. They managed to play the 4 ACC NCAA teams only once apiece, & played the bottom 3 teams home & home.
In the ACC they were:
0-4 against the 4 NCAA teams
3-4 against the teams that finished 8-8 or 7-9 in the ACC
4-2 against the 3 teams that finished 4-12 or worse
Plus they went 2-6 on the road, beating only Virginia Tech & Georgia Tech. They have zero Top 100 road wins (UofL is 71st). UofL on the other hand is 17-3 at home and the 3 losses were to UConn, Nova, & Pitt, who are all a ton better than the Tigers.
Clemson is mediocre at best. UofL is inconsistent enough that a win is far from assured, but there is no way the Cards lose and it's anyway positive. It'd be the first time since 2001 that we lost in Freedom Hall to a team that finished with a losing record in their conference that year.
