well, if they are indeed serious about playing uptempo and running and pressing, then it is a perfect pick-up. That's 4 backcourt seniors for that style. fresh legs throughout the game and 5 more fouls.

Is there any indication that there will be this "uptempo" press stuff going on?

The past couple of years folks on this board keep saying how deep Memphis will be and that this will be the year that Memphis will just go out there and "come at folks in waves."

In a bigger pucture that system, while fun to watch, doesn't seem to have deep title run implications. Sure, VCU had ONE good run a few years back, but look what Michigan did to them last year. NCAA champs, UKy, Louisville, Duke, UConn, UNC etc rely on solid defense and offensive exection, not reaking havoc.

Even if Memphis is going to go balls out, the addition of a guy who will take up 25 mpg invariably means Geron, Chris and/or Joe will lose minutes this year.

Living in KC, let's just say I very rarely heard good things about the guy. Perhaps this experience has changed him for the better.
