Best Game You've Seen in Person
With the forum active, I figured we needed some more topics to keep things going. What is the best sporting event for your school, that you've been to in person?

For me, it was definitely 2006 Ohio State vs. Michigan. It was a #1 vs. #2 game for an outright Big Ten title. Bo had just died a day or so before, Ohio State had already beaten another #2 team earlier in the year (Texas, who was on the verge of winning the Big 12 South and going to the CCG before Colt McCoy went out injured and the team collapsed in the last two games).

The place was ecstatic. It was the last game in Ohio Stadium with real grass and it was pretty much stripped off after the win with all the fans taking home a piece (I still have a small piece around here).

Definitely when I was a kid and my mom was an OSU senior, and got tickets. Archie Griffin had a 100yd+ running game. Dwight Hudson who had been drum major for Licking Heights in our Licking County League the year before was the OSUMB drum major.

Don't remember the opponent or the score, I just remember Archie Griffin going into the line and then bursting free the other side, time and again. But the Buckeyes won.

Dwight Hudson went on to be the first three-year drum major for the OSUMB since the 20's. I've heard that Archie Griffin was also recognized in a variety of ways for running around with the football.

Sad thing is, because it was a Thursday night game and I had to work late that day, it was the only home game that season that I missed being there in person. 03-banghead

Absolutely not even close. That game really put the college football world on notice that we were definitely not cannon fodder anymore.
