You may dislike me writing this but- buy the Apple. It works.

Yes, there is a premium for purchasing the tablet but it comes without the shortcomings of many tablets.

And

What kind of music player could I run on it for my collection already in .wma?

It seems all the decent 7" models go up to 32GB on extra SD cards.... I'm already at 30gb in music...
Upload your music to Google Play. You can store 50,000 songs there. Here is how to convert the files. http://www.aimersoft.com/itunes-drm/wma-...music.html

If you want to pay $25/year- convert your .wma to itunes, get an apple TV ($99) and hook your music to your television. You also can pull your music through your iPhone. You can also access your music through an iPod Touch or iPad or iTunes (windows or Mac). http://www.aimersoft.com/itunes-drm/conv...tunes.html

At home I could just use my cds. I've got close to 30gb of music already so .... I found a app that lets me play the .wma on my android tablet just wish the particular app would also pick up the album art.

Then, buy a Samsung. Get a manufacturer that cares about user experience.

IN Samsung I would have to get a 10" to 64gb microsd support. And on that end Samsung vs Toshiba for "android" apps would be the same thing.
