They will open the 2014 season at Reliant Stadium in Houston and there will be an as yet undetermined game at Lambeau Field.

I'm not liking the trend of neutral-site college football.

I understand that money talks, but just as a fan you'd rather see these teams play each other in Baton Rouge and Madison.

Agreed. I would make the road trip if it were in Madison. Nothing against historic Lambeau Field, but I want to hang out and tailgate on a college campus and in college bars on a Saturday...not in a pro stadium parking lot.

I agree, these games should be played at Camp Randall and Tiger Stadium. Two crazy fanbases, two amazing college atmospheres. Those would be some wild games.

Lambeau is pretty cool for a pro stadium, but Reliant...eh.

That said, it's great to see the two programs schedule games like this. Better than the usual slate of midmajors anyway.

I like them fine. They are different. The venues are interesting.

I was at the ND "home" game in San Antonio in 2009 and plan to be at Cowboys Stadium for an ND "home" game this October.

The LSU/Wisconsin games will be fun, especially the one at Lambeau Field.

Why not the Superdome? Did LSU want the Texas game for recruiting?

Like college stadiums do not have TV camera access? They are a lot larger capacity as well. Arrowhead Stadium ruined the MU-KU rivalry...

Houston also isn't anywhere near New Orleans. Lambeau is at least in the same state (although it is still quite a drive from Madison).

That being said, I am looking forward to watching this on tv.

Houston is a big time LSU recruiting territory. The Tigers have done well there for years. Katrina caused a lot of New Orleans people to relocate there.

There is a large contingent of Tiger fans in the Houston area.
