I agree with that. Just seems a bit unfair to give Atlanta all the money every year. Have the BB tourney and CCG rotate in Atlanta, St Louis, Nashville, and New Orleans, and even Jacksonville...
Hell yeah it's unfair. Programs near the east coast get unfair travel advantage.

Add Little Rock to the list too.

Jerryworld sux as a FB watching venue and I can't wait till our deal with Arky to play there is over so we can go back to home and away
I think A&M fans need to get over all the complaining and whining about Texas. The Longhorns aren't in the SEC. So what they do or say has no relevance to A&M, and all the comments about Texas show that you guys still think you're in their shadow. Get over it and move on...

You are right Bit. Full sunshine for me now. Texas will never be an SEC shadow. I think the conferences are all in good shape now...

RE: Relocation of SEC Championship Game?
There are many good places to hold it if it is going to be bid out then lets rotate it around. Kansas City, St. Louis, Nashville, Dallas, New Orleans all work for the West. Atlanta, Knoxville, Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, and even Charlotte all work for the East.
I think the real issue though has been that Atlanta is a media center, the largest metro area in the Southeast people wise, has the easiest airport to get in and out of, and has been very accommodating to the SEC.
I think when we get to sixteen that New Orleans, St. Louis, and Dallas will rotate the West round of the playoffs. Nashville, Jacksonville, and possibly Charlotte will rotate the East round of the playoffs.

I think Atlanta long term is where to keep it. You have the Sugar Bowl in the western part of the conference the CCG in the east and both are successful. Don't mess with traditions that are working.

Now where did I specifically say UT? I said all the BDF TX and OK schools. I live in Dallas, so its not like we all stopped working and talking to eachother just because of realignment.
When the Dallas Morning News announced a dedicated SEC section, they spent the whole week crying about "but...but this Dallas! This is Big 12 country! How dare they!" And from my perspective it was damn hillarious.
So quit worrying about us down here.

If it gets to Nashville for a year or two, y'all are free to crash on my floor! Not having a roof is the only downside to bringing it here for a year or two. It could be 60 and sunny or 35 and sleeting... you never know in December. Rumblings are that the next stadium will be a retractable roof, so we'll be in good shape in about 15 years.

St Louis is trying to get rid of a roof, or at least make a retractable one. The Edward Jones Dome is nice, but very dark...

Yeah, I think Nashville is going to keep a close eye on how this stadium does in Atlanta. Something similar to Reliant Park is what I have been hearing. Open stadium but can close if necessary. We really want in on a Super Bowl and as a host city if/when the World Cup comes back to America in the next couple of decades (we have been hosting friendly's and some international matches for several years now), not to mention the need for it for the massive music fests/concerts. It will be used a lot. I definitely do not see a full time dome being built here, though.

Retractable domes seem to be the standard now...
