It's difficult to compete in a state with a university that is arguably the best all around college football program in the nation at the moment.

I don't think it's arguable to say Alabama is the best football program in the country right now. I think it's very safe to say they are without question the best program in the country at this time. They have more national championships in the last 4 years than 85% of FBS teams have all-time. Saban has been better than Bear Bryant in an age of parity. Unreal.

Did you really feel the need to take the time to try and correct me just because I said it was ARGUABLE instead of saying they ARE the best football team? Some things are just so trivial they aren't worth responding to ya know?

Ok.

I didn't try and "correct" you. I was agreeing with you and elaborating your premise. If this is so trivial, why did you respond to me?

Bc sometimes you have to point out trivial things for people for them to see how trivial they really are.

bobcat fans feel your pain. TxSt is only about 30 miles away from the University of Texas. Its become much better since the name change, but when I went to school in the nineties there were days when I swear there were more longhorn shirts walking around campus than bobcat shirts.

Saw that change a bit when UK lost in the first round of the NIT this year, though.

Heh heh.

Haha, that's awesome! If I had a kid in my class always sporting UK stuff, I'd have to use all the restraint I had not to rub that NIT loss all up in his face.

Obviously not on the scale of Alabama, but the effect is still the same.

The ball started rolling in 2005 with a new AD and our first National Championship. The Michigan win was a great booster but the momentum was already going strong.
