A Couple of Short, But Interesting, Takes on the ACA
A Republican congressman defends Sebelius's implementation efforts.

And a dyed in the wool democratic union calls for its repeal.

I wouldn't say that "defending Sibelius's implementation efforts" accurately captures the main point of the letter. Interesting spin.

He does what?!?

haha, he's riding Baucus' ass and simoply says your now too late attempt to pass blame to Sebelious etc is a joke. Says there's no way she could be successful and your horrible legislation made that inevitable. Did you read the letter?

Quote:Make no mistake. Unless you act before it’s too late, the American people are going to hold you personally responsible for the failings of this law that negatively impact their jobs, their health, and their families. You drafted it, you twisted arms to get it passed, and, until now, you have lauded it as a model for all the world. Your attempts to pass the buck to President Obama’s team will not work, nor will they absolve you of responsibility for the harm that you have brought via this law.

Wow. Not just interesting spin, but astounding spin. The letter clearly calls out Baucus for writing and supporting such a poor bill, and now arguably blaming Sebelius' delivery of the "bad news" for the problems in the bill, rather than the crappy bill itself

Baucus convenes a hearing to rake Sebelius over the coals for failing to properly implement the ACA. Pompeo writes a letter all but calling Baucus a moron and says the failures in implementation fall on the Democrats in congress who passed an unworkable bill, not Sebelius for not being able to do the impossible. Where I come from that's a defense.

And what would be interesting about a Republican criticizing a Democrat over the ACA.? That would be like posting something about the NFIB calling for its repeal instead of a union.

Fair enough. I don't see her saying Sebelius did a good job (defense) but rather saying that criticizing Sebelius is merely a deflection from the truth of the crappy bill (offense). To me, the action depends on intent. Was she trying to support Sebelius or attack Baucus? I see the latter. The former was merely the tool she used.

First off, keep in mind that Sibelius was not exactly uninvolved in the drafting of the bill. So whether it's a bad bill or she's doing a bad job of implementing it, she's on the hook regardless.

I vote for both of the above.
