No one said you have to agree with the concept of quality...he didn't say it'll catapult TROY above them athletically or make us BC$ champs, just that the quality of the facilities will be as good as you'd find on an $EC campus...

That is a fantastic end zone addition. Great bricking effect, and good change of lines to put the open looking effect on top.
Will the widow's walk at the top be accessible? At first thought they were just making it look good with all the brick patterns and
might cut down on the views, but am betting those are offices on the third floor with a view of the field, or combo offices and viewing areas. How many extra fans will it provide seating for on game days?

Sure is tying it into Trojan Arena with this design and the widow's walk. Imagine they might use that for filming on game day or practices, good high sight lines with no window obstructions.
Will add some good capacity, but will be very functional with all the usages it has. Great for recruiting to bring prospects into a third story office suite overlooking the field and the main stands on both sides. Twenty six million sounds like a good investment for what Troy will get back.

Hartwell said they will budget for the facility to cost 30million and work down from that.... To put it into perspective our basketball arena cost us 40million. That's how massive this thing will be.

It's not my opinion. It's a fact. To say that recruits are not gonna see better in Baton Rouge, Tuscaloosa, or Auburn is just plain false. I'm just a big of a Troy homer as most of you Troy people on this board...but to make outlandish statements like that makes our fan base sound pure ignorant. I'll drink the Troy look-aid...but only to a certain extent.

Ummmm pretty sure your roommate was quoting the athletic director.
And as Trojanbrutha pointed out - it is a reference to the "quality" of this facility.

I like it, the ground level arches have that old coastal defense fortification casemate look. Kinda Fort Sumter'ish. I like that close to the field look. In fact, although it doesn't resemble the new in one building at ODU (West Stadium Center) in architecture, the upper level seating is similar.
