I don't know what the Sun Belt will do when they sit down.

What I do know is that Liberty and Jacksonville State absolutely would accept if invited and start transition in 2013 if invited prior to June 1, and could start league play in 2014 with Georgia Southern and App.

Those in the know say the indications are that Missouri State and James Madison are very interested in the Sun Belt but neither would be willing to declare for FBS before June 1, 2013. Neither will pursue FBS unless they can do transition in 2014, league play in 2015.

In the case of Missouri State, they do not believe that they can have their stadium ready to meet the attendance requirements in 2014. They have less than 17,000 seats currently and may play 2014 with fewer seats than that due to construction. They simply believe it will be 2015 before they have sufficient seats to be able to meet the 15,000 attendance requirement.

In the case of James Madison, it is my understanding that they want to use 2013 to prepare for the needed Title IX changes adding additional players will require and need the extra time to insure they can make the move in a proper manner, including expanding recruiting budgets, evaluating their football budget, and shifting their recruiting evaluation.

I tend to think JMU is worth waiting for and that Jax St. might work out well for the Belt in a couple of years. Say, 2015 at the earliest. JMO.
