That's what some of us newbies need to realize. You may even have a better team, but the way certain matchups are, you may go a while not able to beat someone, even though you would think you would.

That can happen the other way too. An FCS move-up may not be that good but match up well with one of the established programs and be their bane.

Georgia Southern may have issues with their triple option...but it could really screw with someone who doesn't match well with them.

Would think with a triple option team like GaSo would get out of hand rapidly if there is a bad match up. They would just run the same plays over and over. Probably would notice that bad match up faster during the early part of the game in that offense also.

I wouldn't say we have a Daddy, but The Citadel and Wofford can give us fits for some reason.

App and GaSo are each other's nemesis. App gained the upper hand last season by breaking serve in Statesboro. We're 3-8 in Boone and App is 4-7 at our place. We've killed each other once but most of the time the game is decided by a TD or less.

If u asked ODU they would probably say GaSou.

For us. NDSU. 01-lauramac2 stupid hanger.

The Citadel always plays us tough, but most of the time we can eak out a win. They just make it so dang difficult.

Go ahead and get that out of the way at Florida and then you don't have to worry about it any more.

ULL isn't close to unbeatable, they have just had our number. We have even lost several in the past few years by 1 point. We have Troy's number at home as well.

Ha! That's the plan. I bet Florida fans are shaking in their jean shorts thinking about the GaSo triple option.

In all honesty I hope the coaches use that game as motivation for the seniors. This season really doesn't matter. With us not being eligible for the playoffs or conference championship why not focus on that game? Other than that game an App State there isn't much else to get excited about.

I would say 5 in a row is unbeatable. 05-stirthepot

Of course ULM has pulled a few out of the hat against us as well. I remember Jason Chery fumbling going into the end zone at Cajun Field and ULM recovers and hold on to win 17-11.

ULL is definitely our daddy lately, so won't argue there. But, our series is a very competive one I think ULL has a one or two game lead alltime. Really hope we break this losing streak this year and i'm planning on being in Lafayette for great time late this year.

How did they do that, petition the NCAA that it was cruel and unusual punishment?

RE: Who's Your Daddy?
It's ODU trust me. Played them three times and lost and outclassed all three times. No OT. No 4th quarter collapse. Just completely had no answer for anything they did at any point in all three games. They own GSU and we know it. The worst was seeing the same team that went to Tennessee and played the volunteers to a near 1st half draw not be able to win a single series vs. ODU AT HOME!

Agreed, whoever is the "power" in a season usually loses to the "lesser" team any given year...03-banghead
