Louisiana AD Scott Farmer appointed to NCAA Leadership Council
To represent the SBC. I just knew all of you would be excited, given how much as this group loves the Cajuns. COGS

Well deserved! Scott has turned around a dumpster fire football program into a respectable one and has increased attendance significantly!

This is the same bunch was complaining about the statement Scott made about trying to get into C-USA a few days back. 04-jawdrop

One of the few things Scott is right about; we need to get away from South Ga.

I would think not. It is just something to add to his resume. The Cajun Nation wants OUT!

Famer had little to do with the turn around and for 1-AA startup to call us that is very insulting. You guys were big fish in small ponds. Now you're in the ocean we will see if you don't change your attitude. You will be clawing to get out of the Bolt in short order.

Here is the deal. Scott will do a good job representing the Sun Belt on this committee. The University is trying to attain membership is another Conference. As long as we are members of the Sun Belt we will be a good member and an asset to this Conference. But at the same time we will be attempting to move on. There is not one member of this Conference that would not move to another FBS Conference if offered. Why everyone is taking UL to task for attempting to join a Conference with members located in San Antonio, Houston, Denton, Hattiesburg and Ruston...all within 6 hours is beyond me.

Reminds we of the complainer at work that always threatens to leave but can't because no one else will hire him. Meanwhile, everyone has to listen to the whining every day.

We're happy to be a part of the Belt. Let's check back in two years and see how our conference shakes out against CUSA. The Belt will be an even stronger football conference. I can assure you that App State and Georgia Southern will hold their own. And believe me, I'm not talking smack. Just know that Winning traditions will be an asset and both schools have a strong commitment to their football programs.

+1
Umm unless I missed something the teams that have left were not top 25 teams right? Did I miss all the BCS games they played in? How many BCS games and top 25 teams does next years CUSA have? Please!! for all that want to leave GO. No team that has recently left and or current team in the Sun Belt can't be replaced and have just as much success by a solid FCS program. Has anyone seen the CUSA line up for 2014?? You do know they are taking start up and FCS programs to right?

I really have no doubt what so ever the Sun Belt is going to be just as good and likely better than CUSA and the rest of the G5 outside of the AAC in the long run. Instead of whining like a little b's how about routing for the SB to kick the crap out of CUSA and all the other G5's for the foreseeable future.
