RE: Spring Practice
1) Last Wed.
2) Yes. 4/20
3) Yes
4) Has not happened but reports from practice so far are; there is more physicality, more attention to minute details, a lot more in your face coaching. Coach Trent Miles, Jesse Minter, Jeff Jadgozinski and the other staff members are as intense as was advertised. Big change from prior regime.

1. two weeks ago (there was a 1 week break due to spring break occurring)
2. Yes, 4/13
3. Unfortunately 1 year old keeps me from going to spring game this year
4. More of the same, reps upon reps of the triple option.

RE: Spring Practice
TXST
1. Spring practices started March 1
2. Maroon and Gold game this Saturday. (April 6)
3. My daughter and SIL are moving and they scheduled their "Farewell party" this Saturday so I'll be missing the game for the first time in 4 yrs.
4. For the first time it has been interesting hearing about players moving positions, fighting for startings jobs, QB competition fierce. It comes down to the depth we have now. Previously, you could pretty much fill in the first string from year to year and it's very different having 3/4 guys working their butts off to get a place on the field at one position.

Its the same old news that the QB situation is up in the air and will be another mess come the fall. Now the defense finally sounds better and the RBs will have tons of depth.

Can't wait for the spring game. We're going to try and do some game-day tailgating.

Yes there are no changes to our offense at all. Everyone expect many fullback dives.

I posted the 2nd Scrimmage Video in the CSN Texas State forum under Hype Videos. There are several that break down the positions such as Receivers, Defensive Backs, DL, OL etc. They are short but definitely worth checking out. I will continue to add more as the Athletic Department makes them.

RE: Spring Practice
1) Started about two weeks ago
2) Spring game 4/20
3) Am not, but did go to an open practice in Charlotte yesterday.
4) Defense looks strong under a new coordinator, moved to a 3-4 base. Offense is hard to gauge since the starting QB sat out but should be strong again on that side, 10 of 11 starters return.

Write-up and pictures in the Charlotte Observer:
http://www.charlotteobserver.com/2013/04...state.html

Decent turnout for a practice held at a high school stadium. Around 1,500-2,000.
