USM has a better change of moving to the AAC than UAB does and UAB is a block for us.

USM is broke! When a school can't make investments in their athletic future, their programs go downhill. This is a football team that went 0-12 last season; and while there is nowhere to go but up, they won't be winning nearly enough to be invited anywhere.

Which means, USA will stay in the Sun Belt until it's invited to the AAC -- and that's not likely anytime soon.
