Seating is sold out. A limited number of standing room only tickets are available. Good thing Noland didn't go along with Mullins and keep the capacity at 400.

Just curious, what is the capacity? When I went to buy my tickets and looking at the seating chart (which they should make easier to find BTW), It didnt seem like there were too many seats. I know its more than when it was just the behind home plate seating- just dont know how much the baseline seating holds

Between 1,200 and 1,500 I believe.

Edit. According to ETSUBucs.com, there are 1,000 seats.

Well it sucks that I didn't buy tickets sooner. Would be nice if there was this sort of turn out all season.

I haven't made it to a game, but apparently attendance has been way up over past years. I know I went to games at Cardinal Park where you were lucky if 30 people were in the stands.

Attendance seems to be up at alot of our sports. I passed by the Softball field a few days ago during a game and was shocked to see a decent amount of people there even though they are losing. Baseball attendance up, soccer last fall had some well attended games, etc. Good news for the athletic department. Maybe these new fields really do make a difference.

Outfield is the place to be right now. It's wild

Another reason I think football will succeed this time. The students mindset has changed. They want to tailgate and get involved.

Just got back (had to leave early to get my kid to bed). That was a great environment! The students were into it both in the outfield and in the student section in the stands, it had a very good baseball feel.

BTW- announced attendance was over 1,700

Wished the team could have responded better and won the game.

The outfield tailgate party was the place to be. I really don't think that the 1700 included everyone in the outfield; there must have been close to 1000 there.

There was tailgating in the green area as well. Last night was the best overall athletic event at ETSU since the Wadood years, in my opinion.

You all probably saw it on the news last night, but they briefly interviewed Sander at the park last nite, and he talked about how great this was, and how he believes this enthusiasm will translate into a similar situation for football, and that it proves ETSU will support athletics......"when done the right way". Yep, he said that.

Except this really is the right way.
