RE: SBC "towns" information
I can't suggest hotels in Statesboro but I can suggest restaurants.

Depending on what you want to eat all of the following are good...

119 Chop house - Steaks
Millhouse - Steaks
Dingus MaGee's - Bar food
Retrievers - Bar Food
Coconuts - Thai
Beaver house - Southern
RJ's - Southern
El Sombrero - Mexican
Holidays - Greek
Sugar Magnolia - Bakery
Vandy's - BBQ (some hate it some love it)

I don't really have a favorite sushi place, but there are about 5 different ones and they are all about average IMO

Statesboro has most of the typical chain restaurants as well as several locals like those listed above. If you're flying into Savannah, stay at a hotel near the airport (Pooler, Ga) and you're 45 minutes from the stadium and 15 minutes from downtown Savannah.

Statesboro has the following hotels I would recommend in no particular order:
La Quinta
Hoilday Inn
Comfort Inn
Days Inn
Springhill Suites
Hampton Inn
Statesboro Inn, Trellis Garden, and Georgia's B & B are nice local inns.

Savannah is a much better option for touristy stuff, but the Wild Life Center and Museum on campus are worth killing a couple of hours for.

Thanks for all of the contributions. It is definitely going to be easier to figure out where to stay this year.

There at at least 20 hotels (probably more) of all price & quality ranges within 3 miles of the Cajuns sports complex. The closest is the Hilton Garden Inn on university property and across the street from Cajun Field and the Cajundome. Rumor has it they will be building another hotel attached to the convention center, which is attached to the Cajundome.

Restaurants, like hotels, are plentiful in Lafayette. Yeah, we have some national chain, but the link below is to a site with a good number of locally owned restaurants in the city that I think it where you find our how great our restaurant scene actually performs.

http://www.eatlafayette.com/restaurants.html

If you want a wide variety of opinions, drop in on the main fan website (http://www.raginpagin.com) before coming and you'll get widely varied opinions depending on what national flavor you're looking for that meal.

Not much experience with Boone hotels, usually stay with friends or rent a cabin. There are some great local restaurants though. My favorites:

Hob Nob Farm Cafe (Really eclectic menu, everything from Sushi to Cuban)
Black Cat Burrito
Melanie's (Awesome breakfast food)
Proper (Southern Food)
Capone's Pizza
Makoto's (Sushi bar is awesome)

For nightlife, there are all kinds of bars. Paolucci's and Geno's have a club atmosphere, fun when I was in school but not really my kind of scene now. I like to drink at Murphys and Boone Saloon when I'm town now.
