Going Where? The nBE? How many are they taking? They've already got 11 Bb schools and 12 Football schools. And there aren't any openings in the MWC.

UTEP isn't going anywhere. Hopefully after WKU the moving will settle down for a while.

I'll take WKU over Tulsa just as fast as I'll take MTSU over Tulane. These Big East raids are no longer hurting now that that they are desperate.

I agree, I think those last two exchanges were a step up.

Ditto, and I have a lot of respect for Tulsa.

WKU to announce CUSA move on Monday. Welcome Hilltoppers!

Hoping his tweet is still showing up. It disappeared for a second.

Opinion only, within the week you will see JMU accept an offer to the Sun Belt.

I agree.

There are only four programs now available that are roughly within the SBC geographic footprint and would likely move to the SBC. All are FCS.
JMU, Liberty, SHSU, and Jacksonville St.

Liberty has the money and the desire. Their admin has made no secret of it's intent to go FCS

Jacksonville St is a dark horse but has the facilities and the geographic location.

Sam Houston State has the quality of program, and would fit well geographically in the West Division. However the home attendance is not as good as it should be, and the stadium needs an upgrade; similar to GSU. Right now the East Division of the SBC needs the extra program.

Size, athletic budget, fanbase, and facilities would seem to favor JMU.
The question is does the JMU admin want it?
One has to wonder why JMU was not the second choice behind App State instead of GaSo; based on the usual criteria.

RE: ECU to Big East in All Sports-Tulsa Leaving CUSA to Big East
With both schools leaving SOCON, I get the feeling that Georgia Southern and App State may well have gone to the SBC as more or less a package deal. That could explain why the two went at the same time.

After taking the approach of watching and waiting for so long, JMU now seems to be taking a more active, aggressive approach in seeking FBS status. I like JMU's chances to replace Western Kentucky in the SBC, but there are still many possiblities as realignment continues to play itself out. I would not rule out C-USA going to 16 teams. If that happens, JMU could wind up being one of our division rivals.

Basketball is getting pretty strong with WKU and the emergence of FIU to go along with MTSU. Should be better than the old CAA very quickly.
