Any reason you're flying into Lewiston? Try Pullman-Moscow Airport -- 2 miles from the Kibbie Dome and has commercial service via Alaska/Horizon Air. Nonstops from Seattle, so get to Sea-Tac, change planes and land outside the stadium.

Why would western members complain about it, but be adamant NMSU should be invited. Meanwhile, close teams like SHSU are off limits.

Because SHSU isn't ready to move up.

Because unlike Boone, NC or Statesboro, GA, Las Cruces is very easy to get to. Direct flight to El Paso, 50 minutes later there you are. AND we have a long and very good history with NMSU. AND NMSU is FBS. AND they are the Land Grant Flagship for their state.

We can't get to Boone or Statesboro without either or both of indirect flights and two hour or more bus trips.

As to SHSU and Lamar, we have spent the last 40 years getting away from them; that ain't changing now.

I understand that you don't want SLC schools that are close by, but don't complain about the travel when the only other acceptable options are far away.

I wanted to add NMSU all sports and stop. For me there were no other acceptable options. Nothing against GaSo or App State, as I think both will be up to speed fairly soon, but I did not want ANY FCS transition programs unless we absolutely had to to survive.

Lafayette. Football charters, so it is direct. Other sports would go Lafayette to Houston to El Paso. Direct but not non stop.

You know that's not so. App State and GaSo posters have covered this time after time. Benson flew from Savannah to Hickory yesterday, then took about a thirty minutes drive to Boone with about eight inches of snow on the ground.
