So WKU fans...are we getting a good hire or not? All Troy fans pretty much thought Lutz was gonna be the hire so I think for many of us this comes as a surprise.

Where's this "big hire" some Troy fans were talking about?

What this shows is Troy wasn't willing to spend any cash and kind of sad that another SBC school would hire a asst from the team that finished 6th in the conference

Supposedly a decent recruiter but wasn't at Western long enough for us to find out

Lutz turned us down years ago...

Yeah not exactly an earth-shattering hire. But, familiar with the south and spent many years at Miss State.

He is a pretty dang good recruiter. As others said he wasn't at WKU long enough for us to get a great feel for his recruiting prowess, but he was ranked as a top 20 recruiter in the country during his time at Mississippi St.

Is this true, why would Sergio Rouco turn down a second chance, always liked Sergio, can't imagine he will receive consideration at a school in a better conference than Troy. Could he just be happy being an assistant?

Who the hell knows? he was only here one season..He was labeled as a great recruiter but not sure who he landed for WKU last season?...Man you guys taking our coaches now, haha....As long as our head coach doesnt leave than I am ok with it I guess...

Miss State has a lot of recruiting "advantages" that don't exit at Troy.
