Some of the worst lipsyncing I've seen in a Youtube music video in a while.

But... I did like the girl's Nicki Minaj impression at 2:28.

Yes I watched the video this morning. The kids are still snoozing so I didn't turn on the speakers. Maybe that was a good thing.

I will say this much. After watching Brett Comer play two games, dish out ten assists the first game, and fourteen assists last night, he reminds me so much of one of my favorite point guards of all time, who averaged around 8 assists per game during his career. They called him "The Cooz" or "The Houdini of the hardwood". Cousy was ambidextrous.

Most of you don't even remember Bob Cousy. I remember watching him on TV, in black and white, playing along side Bill Russell, my other favorite player of all time.

Bill Russell averaged over 20 rebounds per game. He also blocked shots left handed, which is a distinct advantage over right handed shot blockers. In college, he ran track. He ran the quarter mile(440), in 49.6 seconds. Also, on his college track team, he was the seventh ranked high jumper in the world.

That must be a record, thread derailed in 2 posts... I like these kids...and I wonder how many stars the recruiting guru gave these kids.. They are leapers, slashers, and thrashers...and they belly up too.
It would make a great story for them to make it to 4, and even more to the final game....

I like FGCU's team and their Cinderella ride in the Big Dance. I didn't care much for the video.

I thought it was hilarious. There was nothing indecent or profane about it. I forgot that the general audience here is mostly old white guys.

And you guys call me old.

It's quite amazing what you deduce about people when they disagree with you. When people disagree with you, it's just a difference in opinion, nothing more and nothing less. You read too much into it.

I didn't think the video was indecent or profane either. I just didn't think it was good.

I'm not old -- just old enough to be considered just right for the AD job @ Bama.

I remember Cousy and Pistol Pete, both ball handling wizards. This guy from Ft Myers' team is terrific too. And the vid is ok, but would be better if thy also added highlights from game 2 as well.

Cousy was a great one, and if I were starting a team and could pick anyone I wanted in their prime it would be hard to pass on Bill Russell. My submission would be the "Big O", Oscar Robertson. Anyone who can average a triple double for an entire NBA season can flat ball. His season average in 1961-62 was 30.8 points, 12.5 rebounds and 11.4 assists per game as a SG/PG.

Chew on that one for a minute. Average a triple double for an entire season. That's just amazing!

All those guys are a little before my time but I grew up aware of them, they were recent legendary players.

Much better video, even if it did remind me how horrid Sonny Smith is as a color commentator.

I was in attendance at the BB game between LSU and Bama when "Pistol Pete" Maravich scored 69 points in a losing cause. That 69 was without 3 point shots or "jams" which were not yet legal. It was a truly outstanding performance.

He would have scored more if they didn't have to get the ball out of the peach basket after every basket.

Gary Parrish today was talking about how refreshing and funny it was interviewing the FGC players, who didn't have the pat answers to standard questions that most players used to being interviews have.

He asked on of them if he considered going to Florida. The player said yes he thought about. Parrish followed up with "so Florida recruited you?" The player said "What do you mean? As a basketball player? Hell no. I just considered going there to school."

RE: Everybody has got to check out this new video, especially you Gorilla
I thought it was great. Fun and original. It's this spirit of relaxed fun that has typified FGCU's play on the court and made them so much fun to watch.

I hope the Eagles don't get psyched out by playing the Gators, the monster in their own state. This is classic for in-state underdog playing the big State U powerhouse.

We've seen before many Cinderella stories that don't get past the Sweet Sixteen. The spirit and magic of one weekend doesn't always translate to the next weekend in a new location, especially when it is a team that carries the even greater pressure of an in-state Goliath that presents match-up problems. I'll be pulling for FGCU, but I'm really scared for them, frankly. Losing will be bad enough, but losing to Florida will intensify the pain. For gawd sake, don't get blown out.

Keep on flapping and clawing, Eagles. Play relaxed and fun and just WIN, WIN, WIN.
