No matter who our coach is Memphis never has been good against physical pounding teams....the best ever we were were when Cal was here and his team was full of grown men! We just don't get those recruits or recruit those guys...maybe Josh should start though! Not gonna get those type of guys out of the city locally.

Probably a bit of both. I also think he had a good first half of the season, and played like that was good enough for the second half. It wasn't as the team as a whole improved as did the competition.

No reason he can't improve remarkably next year. If he doesn't, sit him.

Nice find, thank you! Not sure if they would have went down after multiple passes, but maybe we would have been more open?

Thats saying something given they were one of the top assist teams in the nation.

I bet this was the trend for this team when playing against the good teams like Minny n VCU as well.

The only stat battle we won was with Turnovers 11-18. It was a bad day to shoot 29.7% - 21.7% - 50%.

At one point, the rebounding battle was 22-19. Ended up 49-29 with the guards grabbing most of the remaining 10 bounds off missed freethrows.
