Middle Tennessee is an Underdog in the 1st Round
St. Mary's is favored by 2.5
How the hell does an 11 seed get in a round 1 game again?

I believe they had a 12 seed play in last year.

Not sure if you're angry because it's 11 instead of 12, or 11 instead of 16.
11 vs 16: The field was expanded to accomodate more at large teams, so "punish" them, not the league champs.
11 vs 12: Likely we were both 12s, but they shift some seeds because of geography, conference matchups, etc. and it's likely that shift was because of that.

RE: Middle Tennessee is an Underdog in the 1st Round
The committee does not necessarily use the S curve when seeding and putting together regions. That's why we were the last at large in, but still got an 11.

At least the 1st round ("Play-in") games pay a full NCAA credit now.

Not angry - just didn't understand the process. I didn't know MT was so close to being left out.
In my world, MT is arguably better than Butler, NC State, UNLV, Iowa St. Memphis, Cincinnati, Illinois, UCLA, Villanova, Temple, Cal, Oklahoma, Colorado, Boise ST, La Salle.

i don't see how middle can be the dog in this game.
i watched murray beat this team like a stepchild last year.
gonzaga beat them like a red-headed stepchild in their tourney. the gonzaga folks on their board said that st. mary's coach played NOBODY out of conference yet piggy-backed onto gonzaga to bring their rpi up. gamed the system.
i'm fully expecting middle to send delladenuevodevillanova back to the land of wallabies and roos with a hurtin' on his head.
no sweat blue-faders......you got this one in the BAG!!!

I'm picking MTSU to win their play-in, and beat Memphis, but that's just plain stupid.
