Does it say when the decision of a CCG will be announced?

"Moreover, it will soon be announced that conferences must have 12 football-playing members in order to fully realize all potential financial gains from the new playoff and preferred bowl system — money that would seemingly offset concerns about a larger distribution pool.

Having less than 12 for football, in other words, will mean a smaller piece of the money pie."

If that is the case then the big 12 will have to add two more also.

Which means this realignment thing will be going on for much much longer.

The Big XII, PAC 12 & SEC will all add schools until they meet the same membership numbers as the Big 10.

The SEC will add: NC State, Clemson, Va Tech, UNC, Duke or UVA. They will take two of those programs. My Guess would be NC State and Va Tech.

The PAC 12 will make a play for OU, UT, Texas Tech and OK State. To get to 16.

The Big XII will be left scrambling: this is where the mid majors will look for their golden ticket. That would leave the BIG XII with Iowa St, Kansas, K State, Baylor, TCU, and WVU. It will be a vicious game if that happens.

The ACC will need to backfill in order to stay viable after getting raided by the SEC and Big 10. They would more than likely raid the American 12 and eastern members of the Big XII.

This is going to get ridiculous, it is madness and just plain dumb.

If most of that happens it is going to get ridiculous.

Its not already?

Benson said at the conference presser that the structure (not specifically team announcements) of the conference should be made within 30 days.

I would tend to agree with you but I don't think for the Sunbelt it makes sense. With how strong ASU and Ul are becoming, adding teams for the sake of a CCG waters down the product even more than what they have and may really now do any favors of defeating a team in the CCG. CUSA is about to learn that i believe soon.

Can't say that for the SEC though, and if it works for them, it should work for everyone else.

The SEC is more likely to go after the flagship UNC, it was rumored before A&M and Mizzou. Hoopswise, UNC and UK in the same conference WOW !
It'd be a win win for the Tar Heals, and The Dukies.

Are you guys flipping serious? Any money this conference get will be chump change. Bring in 12 teams so we can have east and west divisions. And nowadays no one pays attention to how big the conference is, a team conference with 3-5 teams with winning records is frowned upon.
