Same thing will also happen to Southern Miss if they don't win the C-USA tournament.

Warren Nolan uses the same formula as the ncaa as far as calculating the rpi, but updates the numbers pretty quickly after every game. Middle has beaten Ole Miss currently at #56 and UCF AT#100. FIU is currently at #123 before calculating their game today against Middle. Hopefully they can sneak into the top 100 by winning the tournament.

Middle Tennessee deserves to be in the NCAA tournament. If they are not, it's a failing of the selection committee.....not us.

I'm sorry MTSU. I'm not going to come here and poke fun because I know how it is (see USA in 2008). But maybe MTSU finds it's way in. USA did in 2008. We had some good wins which helped us, but your RPI is right around what ours was when we got our at-large. Hopefully next Sunday we will find out you're in and you can rep the Sun Belt before you leave!

MUTS are saving it for next year in CUSA.

I am not happy with the way our guys played tonight. They couldn't find a rhythm and it showed. With that being said, I haven't given up all hope for the NCAA Tourney. You never know what can happen.

I do find it sad that I came on this board tonight expecting Western fans to be the classless act that they are and I wasn't let down. Hoping the Hilltopper fans become highly disappointed tonight as well.

Ummmm, you do know that MT went 20-2 this year against the "average" competition you're talking about, right? In fact, up until tonight's game had won 17 in a row against that same competition.

That argument about conference tourneys is old. ACC messed it up a long time ago. Only the Ivy does it correctly.

But, conference tourney's are no dumber than the NCAA tourney crowning a champion.
