The Volm will actually be good guys that go around liberating worlds from the Overlords, Karen will be a permanent enemy, and the rebel skitters truely are loyal to the human cause but are just being careful. The only thing I'm questioning is Tom's new baby - something is up with that baby. She's more than just "advanced" for her age. Man that was spooky when that 1 week old crawled under the bed and said "mama" and freakin smiled! If I ever saw some mess like that, I'd run!

Didn't he knock up the doc AFTER he had that worm thing in his eye?

This could be a human skitter hybrid kid who will end up being the "savior"... Similar to the V tv series (the original, not the crap they remade).

To me, that little bit seemed... off. He was walking at the end of last season, then "hey, new season. Hal can't walk, but it's cool cause in like 30 minutes we'll tell you it's just a mental thing for him!".

If the Volm have been fighting the aliens (eshanti or whatever) on other planets, wouldn't the rebel skitters have some insight into them? And with their obvious advanced technology, why are they holding back so much? Only a few have these new guns (evidenced by Pope saying he had to get one of those), and some intel seems like they aren't trying to beat the eshanti, just bide some time for something else... something... nefarious.

Pope did mention the alien gun thing, and it is important to note that Manchester was killed by the mole, who was using an Alien gun.

I thought they pretty much said that the mole was Hal... Never accused him or anything, but found out he was sleepwalking/banging his ex who is now the overlord...

Too easy. Mole is Peralta. You heard it here first.

Saying I was underwhelmed with the season premier would be an understatement.

It wasn't the greatest in terms of leaving everyone hanging after 7 months of time passed, but I like where the show is headed in terms of the suspense and mystery.

As several critics have said, the show is weak still when trying to develop the love interests etc, but it is among the best in terms of the battle scenes, and the characters reactions in those battles.

RE: Falling Skies
Believe a lot of that has to do with all the changes in what was going on last season.
Giving the viewers a little time to digest these changes before they make new changes or events.

RE: Falling Skies
This show has never been a wham bam show. It started off like this and has had other periods where it slows down to develop the story and characters for us. We were given a lot of information in these first two episodes. I just remembered this morning that Manchester not only recognized the person who shot him but made a comment indicating that it was someone he meets with regularly. That narrows the suspects way down and means it isnt Hal.

The other clue is that the person in question has a set of key's to get into the War room. That eliminates people like Pope and Anothony, who I highly doubt would be trusted with that set of key's.

I still say its Bressler for now.

RE: Falling Skies
Next episode starts in about 20 minutes. I am curious to see where they take the story, as the 3rd episode usually sets the tone for what the main story line will be for the season. (Season 1: They settled in the high school and resolved to work as rebels.) (Season 2: They get news that a new capital has formed in Charleston and head that direction.) Obviously with Charleston the main locale this season, episode 3 should develop some sort of key arch to follow between now and around episode 8 or 9.

Okay this whole dynamic with the baby is entirely creepy. Its almost like one of those horror movies where you are screaming at the characters to not open the door.

RE: Falling Skies
Thoughts:

1. Is Hal acting strangely because of the eye worm, or because of his own mind?
2. Why was Gloria Reuben's character not really surprised when she finds out the president is still alive?
3. Pope's soft side finally shows.
4. Whats the bet Anne gets kidnapped here soon...she has to leave mid season to have her real baby I imagine.
5. Why on earth are we introducing the president 2 years after the invasion? Did we assume him dead the previous 2 seasons?

RE: Falling Skies
Okay, That was a heck of an ending to an episode. Right as we get the touching moment of them all mourning their losses on the 2 year anniversary of the invasion, and with Hal about to admit he think's he's the mole, the aliens choose to attack.

Then We get the entirely creepy closing shot of Tom's daughter looking up at the alien spaceships...and smiling.

Must be Rosemary's Baby. Imagine baby is going to be a teenager at least by the end of this year.

I'm calling show crossover!

True Blood fairy kids that become toddlers overnight, the same as Tom's kid who's about to smack her mom upside her head for poking her in the foot.
