It's sick to watch FGCU get the NCAA bid. I just can't stand this team. I'm sure the A-Sun prefers this with all the rumors of Mercer wanting to leave.

It was on FGCU's home floor.

Enfield is not long for the ASC. Depending on the jobs available after the tournament, it would not surprise me to see him gone this year. He has done a nice job with the inherited players (Brown, Feiler, Varidel, Murray) but has brought in some really good talent. Next year's class/transfers eligible will make them very, very tough to beat. Whether Enfield stays or goes, whoever is coaching FGCU is selling a really nice product.

I don't like how they recruit foreigners instead of USA born players. Do you still think they will be tough without Sherwood Brown? Without him to worry about that changes a lot.

No doubt Brown is a terrific player and was a match-up problem for most ASC teams. However, with Thompson, Comer, Graf, and Varidel returning their backcourt will be fine. It is in the frontcourt where I think they will be a lot better/deeper. 6-10 Ga Tech transfer Nate Hicks, 6-6 Marquette SF transfer Jamiel Jones, Jordan Neff 6-7 FR PF (Atlanta area) and 6-6 Logan Hovey Fr SF (Oviedo, Fl) along with Feiler 6-8, McKnight 6-9, Cy 6-9 and Livingston 6-9 will give them (at least on paper) a deep, talented and varied group. I believe they still have one 'ship left to give. I would assume a guard.

IMO, it will be FGCU, Mercer, Upstate and then everyone else playing for 4th in 2014.

BTW, MU's football field/athletic complex is impressive.

JU should showed fight through the year but fell flat late. They were the only other team in the tourney that beat Mercer. So it depends what your team is losing this year.

I do like Upstate but their coach is just not the right fit. He was throwing child like tantrums during the semi-final game. Then what really made me dislike him was when Torrey Craig was seriously injured and his status unknown, he continued his rant while everyone else in the building worried about Craig.

Thanks for the compliment on the stadium, can't wait to get football rolling. I need to get caught up on the other teams in the league.

Congrats as well to the Stetson women for coming back from 15 points down to beat seemingly unstoppable FGCU (18-0 in A-Sun) in tonight's championship, the second in three years for the Hatters. Really proud of them.

Not sure how in the hell an FGCU player still won tournament MVP over Sasha Sims (17.3 ppg in the tourney) or Victoria McGowan (14.3 ppg, 8.7 rpg, 3.7 apg for the weekend.)

The bogus ASC disqualification of McDougald for 1.75 games and the team suspension of Fritsch really hurt JU down the stretch. JU was 7-4 (in ASC games) with them both in the line-up, 2-6 when one or the other was missing.

Eddie Payne from USC Upstate is the ONLY reason that program is competitive. Also, his ranting and raving on the sidelines was because Torrey Craig was hurt. He was taking up for his injured player. Payne is one of the true class acts in college basketball and is beloved by his players and fellow coaches. I would dare anyone to find someone who would say a bad word about him.

His "ranting and raving" was throughout the entire game, it was no different during Craig's injury. That was a really scary looking injury to see.
