Wow! What a deep team, Memphis is. They finished 16-0 in conference play. That was a great run UAB made early in the second half. The Blazers all played their hearts out. Memphis took it to the low post, and also shot the ball so well from three point range. They scored 34 points in the paint.....and sank ten three pointers. Hardly any mid range shots. They are a great team that will do well in the NCAA Tournament, as deep as they are. I will sure be pulling for them to do well.
In the mean time, UAB comes home to prepare for the conference tournament. If they play as hard as they did, today, they will have a very good chance to win a game or three and hopefully make it to the finals.
When do they pick the Conference Tournament Bracket?
We will know tonight where we sit based on Tulsa and Tulane's games. If both win we get the 6 seed. If Tulsa loses to Rice we get the 5. If Tulsa and Houston win we are the 7.

Thank you and good luck to you the rest of the way!

WOW Thug U really? Our guys donate their free time to go see sick children at Le Bonheur all the time. They are always doing things in the community and for you to try and call them "thugs" because they are beating your team in a basketball game is very disrespectful. Great way to represent your fan base.

Thank you sir. Memphis will represent C-USA and hopefully will win a few. All the "know it alls" think C-USA has high school level basketball teams. Coach Pastner continues to rep all the better teams to no avail.
I appreciate your comments and wish you well in the tournament until (if) you face us :).
Heard UAB has a good incoming class next year. We have always enjoyed playing against UAB. After all, we share the renowned Gene Bartow and we both greatly miss him.

God bless.
"Memphis right now, they've done a heck of a job recruiting, they've done a heck of a job coaching those guys," UAB head coach Jerod Haase said on his postgame radio show. "It's just a different animal."
Yes, Memphis is a cut above the rest of the teams in the conference. Coach Haase is on the right track to building UAB Basketball into "a different animal", as far as recruiting goes. He also has such a great knowledge of the game and an excellent coaching staff. The future is bright for UAB Basketball.
The Juniors on this years UAB team have gained so much experience, throughout the season of trials and errors, and the Juniors have been the ones to get most of the playing time, which is going to be a huge plus for next season.
I knew Gene, well, for all of the years he was at UAB. He was such a great guy. Back in his early years at UAB, he was a regular at the student recreation center in the afternoons, where he loved to play the gruelling sport of raquetball.

Once again, UAB travels to Memphis, with the odds stacked against them, to try to beat Memphis on their home court.
I was there, at the Pyramid, in Memphis, the year UAB upset Memphis, 50-47, against all odds.
I hope our UAB Blazers all play well, today, and upset the Tigers.
The game starts in 55 minutes.
That is one of the most beautiful video tributes to someone I'd ever seen, really got a good from the one that said, "thank you, coach....for beating alabama!"
I still contend that a major street vein on the UAB campus should be renamed in honor of Coach Bartow...
