Nothing like some canna butter or canna oil sugar cookies!

nastybunch do a little research on how pot became illegal in this country. Even the AMA lobbied to keep it legal.

Fire and brimstone....can't change that southern baptist culture.

You could tell him that Hearst, Dupont, etc... made hemp illegal because it would've have destroyed their empires. It wouldn't matter. It is akin to the forefathers of science being persecuted.

In macro terms, history has taught us one very valuable lesson. The doctrine of mankind has gotten it wrong every single time. From worshiping the sun, to golden idols, to mythological gods, to god. It has been the purest form of trial and error with error always being the outcome. Throughout the history of the evolution of man, the belief and control that was/is obtained by promoting a "higher power" has enslaved and killed more people than any stupid little weed. Thank GOD we developed the skills to get past the 'flat earth' movement, earth is the center of the universe, earth is 6.5K years old, the earth was created in 6 days, etc.....

Since we are the highest form of intelligence in our solar system, or universe for that matter, (that we are aware of anyway), I can only laugh at the lack of acknowledgement of this lesson and feel fortunate to be alive today than any other time in the past (except maybe the 50's to mid 60's....Ozzie and Harriet ignorance is bliss years).

IMO, ignoring what has been learned, is like running into a wall over and over again...you know it's going to hurt, but since everyone else is doing it....okay, uh yeah, and maybe we should go back to burning 'witches' or reconvene the Spanish Inquisition....that makes sense (total sarc)

It is funny that those that preach 'holiness' are most likely the type to condemn....is the ultimate irony of my experience on this planet....'they' would've stoned me to death as a kid.

The only problem with that is Nasty bunch is not southern Baptist.

BUT as a southern Baptist I hope Mississippi never legalizes it.

...is your right to take that position

Nastybunch, what's the difference between getting loaded up on wine and driving, and smoking weed and driving?

Please explain that.

I don't need to hear any "Terrance McKenna" theory when I have the truth already. Christ says blessed is he who is not ashamed of me. And, yes, Christ turned the water into wine at the wedding when the host ran out early. Surely you are not comparing wine to drugs, are you? If you are, no need to continue this discussion with you.

You are a little off on the truth. I just went through stage 3 Colon Cancer & they gave me 6 mos to live. What saved my life was The Lord Jesus Christ, the Three Stooges & pot. Pot took away my pain & without taking most of the meds I was suppose too. Was able to eat & taste food. Had energy to move around. I know for a fact I am going to heaven & will get a crown, it may be a Burger King Crown but at least I'm getting one. People don't understand that it's the Holier than Thou Christians that have made people turn away from wanting to know or try to understand the Bible. Jesus lived among the sinners to teach love, peace & understanding not damnation but salvation. You my friend are the type that scare people away from the Lord.

But yeah, what does this have to do with religion at all? If weed was legal it wouldn't make the world any worse. It would still be illegal drive under the influence or while impaired. During the first 1900+ years of Christianity, cannabis was completely legal so one could conclude that there was no demand from God that it's sinful to use it.

Until there is a way to test for it to prove w/o a doubt that someone is high @ that moment it will remain illegal. If someone is in a wreck you can blood test them & use a breathalizer to determin their intoxication level with liquor. You cant do that at this time with weed.

Usually someone says "ppl getting high arnt going to drive" yes they do & if u think they dont you are lying to yourself.

You're leaving out the textile industry that was a driving special interest back in the day when it was made illegal. They couldn't compete with their inferior products vs. hemp and thus the propaganda machine was started. It's been a hypocrisy filled ride from the beginning and he fact that it remains illegal is not only a joke but a true travesty at all levels from the drug itself to the vast byproducts and the money that could be gained from all that surround it.

How about you pray for those using illegal drugs that can and will kill the user of cocaine, heroine, meth, etc... Or even pray for those that are using legal drugs that can and will kill the user like ibuprofen, acetaminophen, caffeine, nicotine, etc...

03-lmfao I hope you say the same thing to people that smoke cigarettes, dip, drink booze, and eat fattening foods. Bunch of damn hypocrites in this world.

So, eating fattening foods and smoking dope is the same...gotcha03-lmfao03-lmfao

I always say put 10 people in a room and give half all the weed they can take and the other half all the alcohol they can take. Then see what happens....

Yet one is legal while the other illegal. Yea that makes perfect sense.

The driver killed them not the plant. Just like a driver could kill someone changing the radio or drinking coffee or smoking their cigarettes or a billion other ways.

You must also be a very strong gun control advocate.

The law doesn't see it that way in most places, I guess... but morally, you can't pin those car wrecks on weed IMO.

I'm complete against drug testing for weed for jobs. A person can smoke some weed or even a ton of it and a couple weeks later fail a drug test for a job they won't start for another couple weeks yet can't get hired because of that. That is absolutely ridiculous. Yet they will hire some alcohol chugging, beer belly having, smoke break taker instead.

Yea that makes sense.

RE: ECU starting RB suspended for horrible crime
Prescription drugs are more dangerous than Cocaine in my opinion. Rarely do you ever hear of anyone just overdosing on cocaine. It's usually a cocktail that involves alcohol, cocaine, and USUALLY a prescription drug. Everytime you hear a celebrity die young and OD, it almost always involves legal prescription PILLS! Michael Jackson, Elvis, Heath Ledger, Whitney Houston, Brittany Murphy, Marilyn Monroe, Judy Garland, pill, pills, pills, etc/

Crack (yes a form of cocaine), Meth (made from legal pharmaceuticals, Heroin, those are the real evil illegal drugs in my opinion.

BTW I was a party last night, and many of the ppl were smoking Mary Jane, it was quite frightening lol. Weed is an absolute joke and yes I would say Wine is more dangerous to public health than weed. Same goes for tobacco too. No, I don't smoke weed, I have yes, but do not smoke it.

As to religion, it's more than likely just another a fairy tale. If faith works for you great, but don't shove it down others throats. I don't even think of being agnostic until the zealots shove it in my throat or carry the good book into politics. The religious right is why the republican party is dying in this country. This is coming from a guy that voted for Bush twice.

I've never been anywhere that god is so in your face. I stopped at a Walmart in the Lewisburg area last weekend while coming home from skiing and every book and trinket by the register (except candy and gum) was about god/jesus.

Most of my family lives in central WV and they are all super conservative christian.

I'm the most liberal Catholic you will ever meet. The Pope would probably kick me out. I figure Ill just have it out with Jesus when I get there if he's still crabby. Maybe ill smoke a bowl with him.

That would be a fantastic argument if it were illegal because it was bad in the first place. FACT: There was a corporate induced smear campaign against cannabis as a whole. FACT: That smear campaign "mis-educated" the masses for two generations in one of the best examples of "if you say it enough, people will start to believe it", media strategy.
