A-Sun Men's Basketball Conference Tournament
Here is the bracket. How does everyone think it will play out? Can Mercer finally get it done on their home floor? Will FGCU move from former Division 2 transitional team to NCAA tournament team? Or will another team make a run in Macon and take the Championship?

I think FGCU's lack of tournament experience will help us here. They are also vulnerable to a loss, not the juggernaut some saw them as in the front half of the A-Sun season.

Even though they won 9 of their last 11 games after starting 4-3 in the league? They finished the season stronger than it actually started and are wins and losses wise are one of the hottest team in the league in the second half of the season.

Also just to point out I am not an FGCU fan, but didn't this exact same team make it to the title game a year ago? I don't think tournament experience means anything. The last two years North Florida and FGCU have played in the title game with little to no experience.

With all of that being said, I think UNF has a punchers chance, but I'd also look out for Lipscomb in search of a first round upset. Why? Third straight year they have played Mercer and its been tough games both times. It was an eight point game last year and 10 the year before.

Yes UNF & FGCU have played in the title games, but neither has competed in the title game. A big difference there. Mercer has competed in a title game, and been in the semi's over the last 3 years. All on the home floor. Wasn't that FGCU's first year in the A-Sun tourney?

Gulf Coast had lofty projections by many in the front half was all I was saying. It was wiped out throughout the year. We should note that UNF only lost by 2 on FGCU's home court. So I agree, UNF has a shot to win. Gotta light it up from outside UNF!

Lipscomb getting waxed by Mercer is becoming a first round tradition. Mercer beat them twice this year. By 6 on the road where it really wasn't that close. And by 25 on the tournament floor. They can't take them lightly, just have to take care of business.

So far the #1,2 and 3 seeds have all held into the semi-finals. JAX/Upstate is the only quarterfinal left. FGCU showed they are beatable letting UNF give them a good scare. FGCU didn't put that game away til late. Mercer had a "bye" as they demolished Lipscomb by 34 points. Stetson was solid in a win over lowly ETSU.

RE: A-Sun Men's Basketball Conference Tournament
I love following the A-Sun tournament. Finally I'll get to see some fresh new blood in the tourney this year w/ Belmont gone and ETSU down. I'm rooting for the 3 that have never been and even if Mercer gets in, it will have been for the 1st time since 1985.

Why would I know this? I'm 1 of the 2 guys that does the ncaa tourney invites/how far they get page for wiki.
