While inappropriate, the sign did make me chuckle.

Thanks for the photo evidence lol

Hopefully we keep this rivalry going. I bet next year if we play you guys again it will be sold out at the Murphy Center. The hype regarding CUSA will definitely bring 'em out in droves. What a great game. Go MT, and great season for WKU. Hopefully you guys don't do too bad in the SBC tournament... but not gonna give you any luck against MT if you play us again :)

I wouldn't define it as a "great season".

The rivalry will continue. Not only while WKU is still in the Sun Belt, but also when we eventually get invited to Conference USA. We have one of the best rivalries in college football. Our ADs won't let that die.

Hundred Miles of Hate forever.

I dunno what you all are smoking. I wasn't there, and couldn't catch it on TV, but I saw 3-4,000 in there...

Heck, one of your own fans said we had 2k on the post-game call-in show.

Sure looked like more than 300 where I was sitting behind the goal. Couldn't see a lot of the game due to the clock above the backboard. But whatever.

Good game and great atmosphere.

If you could have crowds like that often you'd rarely if ever lose at home. Very loud. I thought for sure we'd buckle.

oh well.....i thought they brought a decent group but i did count some rows and did some math and around 300 is what i came up with. unless they had 700 in singles sprinkled throughout no way 1k.

not important. crook made some plays today but he really stung us at times as well.

he maximized what he had much like kawaun. we were much better as a team with him than without him this year but like i'm pleased the jakes era is over i'm just as pleased to see the crook era end.

The number I heard was 700+, from the MT higher ups. Not that it really matters.

I hate attendence arguments. MT had a very good showing. Definitely not 1/7 of the arena tho. Total attendence was 7,300. MT fans filled the section below one of the video boards which holds about 150 (10 rows of 15). They also had about 75% of the section the MT students were in (about 150). About 100 in the section you sat in (directly behind where I was sitting.....did you show the middle finger? Just curious if you were the gentleman my 10 year old son was talking about. j/k) And there were probably another 100 scattered throughout the arena.

Oh it matters. 'beed brought it up non-sequitur. He counted. Even took off his shoes to make sure he got it right.

My son may have shown the middle finger, but he was probably just picking his nose with it, since he's just 11 months old 04-cheers

I don't care if we had just the Dancing Man, as long as we got out of Diddle with a win.

We don't shoot lights out at the charity stripe and we have a different result.

Onward to Hot Hoops, Arkansas.

But first, a mini-trip to Florida 04-cheers

You know it's always tougher to tell on TV than being there, but the atmosphere seemed electric - definitely worthy of a March date - especially when WKU overcame that nine point MT lead to tie it midway through the second half. Great job by Western fans creating a tournament type atmosphere and great job by MT fans traveling and making their presence felt in a hostile environment.

We will see you the the SB finals in Hot Springs, then the series may take a year off then resume in CUSA.

There's a couple of real hypotheticals right there. Don't bet on either.

Yea for sure, can Kermit take a great regular season team and win enough games to even make it to SB finals?..Definite hypothetical...

I don't have a problem at all with that sign. That's what rivalries are all about. Now, if the first letters had not been transposed ( like the WKU shirts a few years ago01-lauramac2), then I have a problem. But, as it was written, I think it was fine for this game.
